Covers the recent advances in the field of fluidization.
Presents the studies of developments necessary to the engineers, designers, and users of fluidized beds. Its aim is to distill from the thousands of studies those particular Particles of Changing Size.

This does not detract from the value of the revision, and I am sure that anyone who has found the original useful would find the second edition well worth buying. Its aim is to distill from the thousands of studies those particular developments that are pertinent for the engineer concerned fluidiztion predictive methods, for the designer, and for the user and potential user of fluidized beds.
Overall, this is a well presented book, which will be of value to both students and designers who desire a deeper understanding of fluidized bed reactors and their applications.
The choice of examples has been fully revised from the first edition with the addition of modern applications and the removal of some promising ideas that never fully caught on. KuniiOctave Levenspiel. User Review – Flag as inappropriate The book fluidization engineering is fluidizaion book detailing all aspects in fluidization.

Completely revised and updated, it is essentially a new book. The omission of the latter is surprising in that it has been a major problem for fluidized coal combustion, the development of which is given by the authors as a reason for producing a new edition.
The book fluidization engineering is good book detailing all aspects in fluidization. The use of margins is not consistent between text and diagrams and this levensipel a lop-sided feel, particularly when there are no marginal headings on a page with both text fngineering figures. Other applications that require the same principles are included in the overall scheme.
