In the s, while in his 60s he produced this collection of texts, bibld of which he translated himself, which give a broad view of the nature of the teachings of Buddhist schools.
This is slow reading, but if you’re looking for a book that has a lot of the sutras with no commentary then this is it.
A Buddhist Bible
I get that it’s foundational for studies of buddhism in the west, but a lot of the translations are pretty archaic I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
